June 14 - GEFONT affiliate Independent Garbage Cleaners’ Unions of Nepal (IGCUN) celebrated its 26th Anniversary organizing a gathering in Bhurungkhel Kathmandu.
On the occasion ,GEFONT Acting President Cde. Haridatta Joshi highlighted the IGCUN contribution for the strengthen of Trade union movement in Nepal .On the occasion, Parliament member and GEFONT Governing council member Cde. Binod shrestha and GEFONT Secretary General Cde. Bishnu Lamsal extended their best wishes.
Independent Garbage Cleaners’ Unions of Nepal (IGCUN) founded in 15 June, 1990 Covering all the workers working in 58 municipality across the Nepal ,and the workers who cleans and collect garbage in villages,offices ,Hospitals etc. It has been affiliated with GEFONT since its inception and it has been globally affiliated with one of the International trade union Federation ICEM in August 2003.
