March 14- GEFONT President & Chief Political Advisor of PM- Cde. Bishnu Rimal inaugurated the CUPPEC- Nepal Second Congress Delegates Council meeting and Sarlahi District Committee New building opening function. Speaking in the program, Cde. Rimal said workers Social security is our major demands. He ensured to lobby for precise wage of construction workers and raised the voice of workers for permission to extract sand & pebbles from rivers throughout 75 districts.
He added skilled workforce is essential for reconstruction of Nepal after Earthquake and urged CUPPEC leadership to provide necessary skill training to the workers.
During the inauguration program, Bishnu Lal Biswakarma, Gultan Chaudhary and Chitra Kumari Gurung were felicitated for their union contribution. Likewise 15 persons along with different organisations were felicitated for their contribution to build the Sarlahi District Committee house.
During the close session of the meeting, CUPPEC President Naranath Luitel presented the evaluation report of last two year, General Secretary Manohari Siwakoti presented the work plan for next two years & Finance Department head Krishna Baral, presented financial report of union. Afterwards group discussion was held & each group presented their recommendations.Acting President Haridatta Joshi and Dpt. Secretary General Janak Chaudhary participated in the close session of the meeting.
The meeting has declared to conduct National Women Gathering in Makwanpur, Labour issues training & Communication skill training for 20 districts members as well decided to conduct two leadership development & office management trainings in Narayani Zone .
