Speaking in the JTUCC Interaction Programme on Labour Bill and Social Security Bill tabled in the Parliament, GEFONT President Bishnu Rimal said "System that count workers contribution from the first day at the work will solve 90% labour problems. Till now major problem is about making workers permanent but Labour Act Amendment & Contribution Based Social Security Act will address this issue."

He further said "Employers think that if they make workers permanent, they will not be serious at job and Employers should provide Provident &  Gratuity Funds and other facilities which increase their expenses. Therefore, trade unions presented contribution based social security perspective, where after 20 years of work, workers can be supported from the Fund contributed by themselves. Further there no worries for the Government to find the way to support the workers as they are ready to pay tax and in return they expect education, health services etc from the State."

"Dispute may be raised that who should control the Fund where huge amount already collected, therefore we need to be aware on it" He added. He further clarify that Labour Bill and Social Security Bill are together  tabled in the Parliament as many  issues in two bills are interrelated and any issue eliminated from  one  bill will effect another bill . Therefore, he urged Members of Parliament to be alert on these serious issues.
 

According to the President Bishnu Rimal, most of the labour problems will be solved if these bills are adopted by the Parliament and implemented as the Acts.  And it will support the present generation to ease their time after 20 years.
