May 19 - GEFONT affiliate Independent Transport Workers' Association of Nepal (ITWAN) along other three Transport sector unions informed government about their agitation programs. On behalf of Joint Agitation committee, Coordinator of Joint Agitation committee Mr Dol nath Khanal handed over the memorandum to the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mr. Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar. Hand overing the memorandum,Mr Dol said, they will force to declare more strong agitation programs if Section 164 of the Motor Vehicle and Transport Management Act, 1993 is not removed.
Taking the memorandum, Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mr. Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar said, Government is very positive towards the problems of Transport sector workers and employers, expressed his commitment to initiate to solve these problems .
