GEFONT has organised May Day grandly organising different Zonal & District level programs throughout the country. And GEFONT Central Leaders attended the various May Day programs.
In Biratnagar, GEFONT Koshi Zonal Committee has organised the Rally from Mahendra Chowk which move around the city and converged into Mass gathering in Birendra Hall . The Mass gathering was addressed by CPN UML Politburo Member and Former Minister, Cde. Lal Babu Pandit and GEFONT Vice President Madu Sudan Khatiwada. Around 15 hundred people participated in the Rally & Gathering.
Similarly, May Day has been also celebrated with Rally & different programs in Sankhuwasabha & Dhankuta.
In Butwal, GEFONT Lumbini Rapti Zonal Committee organised the Rally with hundreds of people from Puspala Park which round the city & converged into mass Gathering. The Mass gathering was addressed by Chief Guest CPN UML Central Secretary & Former Minister Cde. Pradip Gyawali. GEFONT Women Committee President as well as GEFONT, Affiliates & CPN UML, GEFONT Leaders were among the speakers of the Gathering.
In, Banke, GEFONT Bheri Karnali Zonal Committee has organised Rally & Gathering. The Gathering was addressed by GEFONT Vice President Bidur Karki. Likewise, CPNUML and CONEP Leaders spoke in the Program.
In Bara Gadimai, GEFONT Narayani Zonal Committee has organised the Rally & Gathering . More than 1500 workers participated in the program. The Program was address by Chief Guest CPN UML Narayani Incharge Kedar Neupane and GEFONT Dpt. Secretary General Cde. Janak Chaudhary . Likewise, CPN UML & Gefont & Affiliates Leaders participated in the program
In Kaski, Rally was started from Prithivi Chowk and converged into mass gathering at Chiple Dhunga. The Gathering was addressed by Polit Buro Member Ganesh Timilsina and GEFONT Secretary Gunaram Acharya.
Likewise, in Mechi May Day Program, GEFONT Secretary Cde. Kamla Gautam participated, In Sagrmatha GEFONT NEC Member Manju Thapa participated, In Seti Mahakali Cde. Dinesh Rai participated & In Dolkah District Cde. Keshav Duwadi participated.
Meanwhile, 127th May Day has been celebrated by Migrant Workers abroad. GEFONT Support Group Malyasia (GSG) has organised the Program in Selengar. The Program was addressed by GSG Malyasia President Prem Kumar Magar , Gefont Malyasia Coordinator Bed Kumar Khatiwada.
Nari Group in Lebanon also organised May Day Program. FENASOL, Domestic Workers Union (DWU) and International Trade Unions participated in the Program. Nari Group is working as the GEFONT Support Group in Lebanon to secure the rights of workers.
In Korea, Nepali Migrant workers has celebrated May day grandly. Migrant Workers Trade Union & Korean Trade Unions has jointly organised May Day Rally & demanded for Migrant workers Rights. Migrants Workers has also collected signature to end the Government repression to the Migrant workers.
