Kathmandu, Nepal Health Volunteer Association (NEVA) has organized gathering of Ward level health Volunteers in Surkhet , Bandganga municipality. The gathering has formed 5 members joint ward committee of 11 & 13 wards under the presidency of Cde Purnima Basyal.
Speaking in the gathering, GEFONT province Secretary Cde. Bhimprasad Neupane said "Union like NEVA has very good strength throughout the country so that the voices of health volunteers across the country should be common for achieving the appropriate rights.
Speaking in the program, NEVA province President Cde. Durga Dhamala said that the volunteers have provided a dedicated service for the years, but the concerned body has not provided proper facilities, therefore Health Volunteers should organized to protect their rights. She further urged the local and province governments to provide proper facilities, allowance and retirement services.
Likewise, GEFONT Bheriganga municipality committee president Cde. Khagisara Nepali also addressed the program.
