Positive Change in Qatar was Possible in Cooperation with GEFONT: ITUC Secretary General Burrow

Nepali Migrant Workers Association Qatar affiliated with GEFONT has organised Cultural Program. The Programme has been organised in Dalla Driving Hall in Sanaiya to support Nepali Migrant Workers in Qatar.

Speaking in the programme, Chief Guest Binda Pandey- Deputy Member of ILO Governing Body, expressed gratitude to the Organiser. She  said "Positive changes in Nepal has eased to work on labour issues and after forming the new Government, more work will be done in favour of the workers."

On the occasion, ITUC Secretary General Sharan Burrow said “Many positive changes in Qatar were possible due to last seven years efforts of GEFONT & ITUC.” She informed that ILO Office in Qatar will be launched in February and also expected to completely eliminate the Kafala System by March.

During the programme, Chairman of the Programme Ujjawal B. K thanked everyone for the support and assured to organise similar type of programmes in future too.
