Jan 28- Inaugurating the CUPPEC Nepal First National Youth Gathering GEFONT, President said that provision in the Labour Law will be made so that workers will be permanent from the day they joined the work. He informed that Social Security Act and Labour Act going to be amend soon.
He said that after terrible Earth Quake in Nepal, responsibilities of workers has been increased and skilled workers will be mobilized for reconstruction Campaign and Government will provide skill training for the workers.
It is essential to secure participation of workers in every elected body of state for which we need to make Trade Union more Strong. And Youth can make important role in transformation He added.
Addressing the program, CUPPEC President Naranath Leuitel said Cuppec Nepal has formed Youth Committee to increase the Youth participation in Trade Union Movement and he encouraged Youth members to lead the Union Movement. He also informed that CUUPEC Nepal has plan of 3 years Accident Insurance to those members who make 250 new members in a year. And different trainings will be conducted to build the capacity of Youth members.
The program was also addressed by BWI South Asia Education Department Chief Anup Srivastav, GEFONT Youth Committee President Damodar Sapkota.
The Gathering has formed 13 members new Youth Committee with President Rekha Bhujel and Vice President Lahanu Chaudhary. Likewise Rishiram Nepal and Sher Bahadur Rokka as Secretary & Joint Secretary respectively.
CUPPEC President informed that CUPPEC has elected the committee members representing different provinces as per made by the New Constitution of Nepal . And more than 50% Women are in the Committee.
