August 14 - On the occasion of International Youth day , Nepal Independent Hotel, Casino & Restaurant Workers' Union (NIHWU) organised an interaction on Fair wage in Entertainment sector .During the interaction , workers from entertainment sectors shared their experiences and problems . According to the participants, one of the major problem in that sector is the Wage. Still, they have not got the minimum wage fixed by the Government . If they raise the issue of their wage ,Employer use to threaten.
On the occasion, NIHWU President Cde. Surya Kunwar said, only in Kathamndu valley ,more than 50 thousand women are working in that sector who are deprived from their minimum wage.We are very serious on the issue and will raise the issue strongly.
