Kathmandu, Independent Transport Workers Association of Nepal (ITWAN) has organized free health camp for the transport workers under the national road accident reduction campaign. The campaign has been started by launching a free health camp at Lekhankhal Baspark, Lalitpur on 20 & 21 April 2019.
ITWAN has organized free health camp programs to the transport workers in collaboration with Nepal Medicity hospital. In the two-day camp, 282 transport workers has been examined including high blood pressure, diabetes, stomach, heart attack.
ITWAN president Cde. Bhim Jwala Rai said “health camp has been organize for transport workers because workers who work in road should be healthy”President Rai further said that workers cannot take time due to their busy working schedule to go to the hospital for check up so that ITWAN has organized health camp in workplace.
General Manager of Nepal Medicity hospital Mr. Bijay Rimal has informed that free health check up has provided including eyes, kidneys, heart.
