Kathmandu, Nepal Street Vender’s Union (NEST) has celebrated its 18th Founding Day on 10 January 2020 by organizing the gathering of the leaders and cadres in Kathmandu, GEFONT President Cde. Binod Shrestha addressed the program as a chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Prez, Shrestha stressed on the need of the Union future plans according to the changing contest.
He emphasized, that union should raise issue of social Security in a new way so that the self-employed workers of the informal sector can participate in the contribution based social security scheme. GEFONT affiliates leaders were present in the program.
On the occasion NEST deputy Secretary General Cde. Kamala Dahal Gautam welcomes the participants, delegation council head of Nest, Cde. Narayan Neupane and President of ITWAN Cde. Bhim Jwala Rai, expressed their best wishes.
NEST General Secretary of the Cde. Rajkumar Shrestha has informed that except in Kathmandu Province No 1 has celebrated in Itahari and in Province no 7 has celebrated founding day in Kanchanpur.
