The committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations, appointed by the Governing Body of the International Labour Office to examine the information and reports submitted under articles 19,22 and 35 of the Constitution by States Members of the International Labour Organization on the action taken with regard to Conventions and recommendations held its 70th Session in Geneva from 25 November to 10 December 1999. In pursuance of its terms of reference, as revised by the Governing Body at its 103rd Session, the Committee was called upon to examine: the annual reports under article 22 of the Constitution on the measures taken by Members to give effect to the provisions of the Conventions to which they are parties, and the information furnished by members concerning the results of inspection; the information and reports concerning Conventions and Recommendations, communicated by members in accordance with article 19 of the Constitution; the information and reports on measures taken by Members in accordance with article 35 of the Constitution.
