Garment Carpet and Allied Sector
Independent Textile - Garment Workers Union of Nepal (ITGWUN)
This Federation has organised enterprises such as textiles, garments, jutes, pashmina, spinning and sewing across the country.
Within the Nepal Independent Workers Union, the Union had been initially organised as readymade garments factory unit committee on 23rd December, 1986. As the separate Union of the workers of garment sectors, Independent Garment workers' Union of Nepal was established through the first National Conference held on December 1991 and the very Union has been registered at Labour Department in 12th January 1995.
This Federation was also restructured as per the Line-industry Federation Campaign right after the GEFONT 2nd National Congress., The unity conference amongst the Unions of textile, garment, jutes, threads and cotton industries held on 22nd October, 1997 successfully brought into existence of this new organisation- Independent Textile- Garment Workers Union of Nepal (ITGWUN). The ITGWUN is one of the affiliates of Global Union Federations- the ITGLWF from October 2003.

Nepal Independent Carpet Workers' Union (NICWU)
A large number of most scattered and exploited hand-made Carpet weavers formed their union just after the establishment of multiparty system in 24 May, 1990. The workers of Carpet sector involved in dying, cutting, washing, stitching, designing, waving, spinning, finishing and many more have been organised under this Federation.
NICIWU is also one of the affiliates of Global Union Federations- the ITGLWF from October, 2003.

Nepal Thank Artist' Union (NTAU)
Thanka Painting is one of the traditional-art professions in Nepal. The product is generally purchased by the international tourists. In this profession thousands of skilled-personals are involved. However, they are cheated by middle-persons. In order to address this problem GEFONT has launched new affiliates in this sector- Nepal Thanka Artists' Union (NTAU) is an innovative and informal sector union under progress.
