High level ACFTU delegation visits GEFONT

May 08 - Aiming to share the experience of labour movement of both countries, a high level delegation from All-China Federation of Trade Union (ACFTU) has arrived in Kathmandu. The six members high level delegation was headed by Mr. Duan Dunhou Vice president and Secretary of Secretariat of ACFTU. With welcome to  ACFTU leaders, GEFONT organised a formal meeting at GEFONT premises. 

Addressing the bilateral meeting, Com.Bishnu Rimal, President of GEFONT said "Our Country Nepal is in transitional phase. We have been launching the campaign for pro-worker Constitution and labour law . We give high importance to the solidarity for Nepali working people from China and International Community."

On the occasion, Issue of Labour Rights and Trade Union situation of both countries has been shared. During the meeting, leaders discussed on issue of mutual interest.

Other member of Chinese delegation were Mr. Yang Honglin, Director of the grassroots organization and capacity building department, Mr. Jia Duanyang, Director of the Chinese National Defense Industry, Postal and Telecommunications Workers' Union, Mr. Peng Yong, Deputy Director of International Department, Ms. Geng Jiamin, International Department and Mr. Tang Lei, Staff of General Office.

In the high level bilateral meeting, leaders from GEFONT side were  Cde. Binod Shrestha, Senior Vice President, Cde. Umesh Upadhyaya  Secretary General, Cde. Binda Pandey Member of ILO GB and member of GEFONT planning Commission and Cde.Ramesh Badal Secretary.
