September 09 – Supreme Court of Nepal has decided in favor of 103 victim migrant workers. 103 Nepali workers who had gone to the Libya through Dhaulagiri Man Power Pvt.Ltd returned back due to irresponsible and inhuman behavior of sending manpower company and employers of Libya. They filed the case against the sending company and its directors in the Foreign Employment Department. The Department ordered to freeze all the properties of Directors during investigation for the purpose of salary, benefits and to provide other Compensation to the victim workers. When Tribunal Court of foreign employment released the property on July 21 2011, the workers filed a case at Supreme Court against this decision. The Division Bench of Supreme Court comprising of justice Abadhesh Kumar Yadav and Prakash Wasti voided the order of Tribunal Court stating that the order was against Law and the property should be blocked as it was before.
